SYNOPSIS FOR THE NEXT 24-48 HOURS: Hurricane Michael has made landfall and is moving north/northeast over Georgia at this time. This storm remains very well organized and strong despite being well inland with high winds and heavy rains for a large portion of the southeastern US. The storm will continue to track across the Carolinas to the Delmarva region before moving out over the Atlantic later tonight/early Friday. Widespread flooding rain is expected along the path of this system. On Friday, the remnants of Michael will be off the Atlantic coast but still could be close enough to cause breezy conditions for Long Island and southeastern Mass/Southern RI. Outer portions of Cape Cod and Nantucket will be most at risk for significant wind gusts from this activity. The post Hurricane Michael Update appeared first on DTN.
